A  Fresh Meat brief by Bulletproof to create a packaging brand using your ‘porn star’ name (first pet + first street name). Mine was Sparky Sunningdale and I decided to
just use the name Sparky.

concept

The word 'sparky' means to be lively and high-spirited, so I knew that I wanted my brand to be a natural energy drink brand. The slogan is 'fuel your free-spirit' and the brand's message is all about being carefree and silly.

solution
The bold visual language represents the playful, energetic personality of the brand. Expressive mark making is used across all media and to create the patterns for the packaging.This is to create a bold and playful visual language that conveys being energetic.
festival truck
The target audience for Sparky is 18-25 year olds that have very socially active lives. The people that go to lots of gigs and festivals. They have a positive outlook on life and do not take themselves too seriously. Sparky would be launched during the Summer and introduced to the target audience at the biggest UK festivals. This would be in the form of a ‘festival truck’.
back of the packaging
The target audience is concerned with the health and ethical implications of what they are consuming. So, the back of the packaging is used to inform the buyer that the juice ingredients are 100% natural and the caffeine comes from a natural source. It also informs them of how the packaging is environmentally friendly as plastic packaging is a big concern of this audience.
